It became apparent that Ankleshwar GIDC was in need of healthcare and the well- being of its employees during the 1970s and 1980s when it developed at its maximum potential. Because there was no government hospital in the area, there was a predictable infrastructural and administrative lag in the healthcare sector. Ankleshwar geographically is located at a point that remains fairly distant from the cities having top-notch medical and healthcare services.

The inception of the solution to this issue was leveraged by the philanthropy of Mody family and Unique Group of Companies, as a 25 bedded hospital which was located in GIDC housing quarters, started serving the society. In 1996, the same hospital was developed into a full-fledged pivotal medical and healthcare service provider. The inauguration of this hospital was done by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, back then. After a time, the hospital in the new building grew to a capacity of 120 beds and a radiation centre, making it the latest upgrade to the hospital's infrastructure.
