Introduction

With the development of GIDC Ankleshwar in 1970-80’s there was a great need for healthcare for the staff and workmen of this area. There is no Government hospital in this area to provide medical facilities. With the initial donation a 25 bedded hospital was started in GIDC housing quarters which has became a full-fledged hospital in 1996, which was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Government of Gujarat. The hospital in new building has started and over a period of time and it has become a 120 bedded hospital, one of the most modern hospital in this area.

Mody family and Unique Group of Companies have donated major contribution to the hospital and supported by all the Industries of Ankleshwar, Panoli and Valia. .Hospital is named after Mother of Shri. J B Mody, Shri D B Mody & Shri S B Mody as SMT. JAYABEN MODY HOSPITAL. This is a charitable Hospital and the rates are almost 40 to 50% of the current market rate in Ankleshwar and Bharuch. Many patients are given free treatment from various camps as well as from poor patient fund created by Mody Family.

Cancer Radiation Centre

In Bharuch District there is no facility to treat cancer patients. Patients have to go to Vadodara, Surat or to Ahmedabad for their treatment of surgery and radiation. Considering this need Smt. Jayaben Mody Hospital has started OPD, Operation and Chemo Therapy for Onco patients since last four years, However since there no radiation facility patients have to go the Vadodara, Surat and or to Ahmedabad which increase the hardship to a great extent and hence this project.

Cost of the project is Rs.26 crores. Major cost is for Radiation machine which comes to Rs. 12.2 crores and 3.3 crores duty/GST. Balance is for Bunker to be provided and other facilities. We are importing machines from Varian USA-Vital Beam with all attachments which can treat 97% of the patients.​

Recently we have recived donation of 3.5 cr from various industries, like jbcpl, Gujrat guardian limited, HEAUBECH, Sajjan india

We are Happy to inform uh that Late shree JB Mody family, SHREE BHARAT MEHTA & Pallavi ben Mehta Had donated us rs 3 cr for PET CT Machine in memory of late shree JB Mody and the PET CT Machine is inaugurated by Our Hon. Chief Minister Shree Bhupendrabhai Patel And Hon. Finance Minister Shree Kanubhai Desai.

Project Status

We have already started construction work of Chemo ward on first floor of RT center and new Building for doctor quarters. PET CT Machine is installed and probably will start taking patient from mid September 2023.

With God's Grace if Everything Goes Well We can start the work for Patient dormitory before end of 2023.

This being the most needed project for the cancer patients in this area we are requesting for a sizeable donation from you . Cheque for the donation to be issued in the name of ANKLESHWAR INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY A/c Smt. Jayaben Mody Hospital. Needless to mention that donation given to the hospital is eligible under CSR contribution and /or donation are eligible under the 80 G (5) of the I T Act for income tax benefit.
